RETHINK brings together cities and citizens to reimagine public spaces as inclusive, sustainable, and creative environments.
Through a mix of training, collaborative planning, and participatory art, the project fosters dialogue, civic engagement, and shared ownership of urban spaces.
Below is an overview of the main activities that will take place throughout the project’s timeline (2025–2027)
A plenary session to explore the principles of the New European Bauhaus and their relevance to partner cities. The training also offers a space for sharing local practices and connecting them to NEB values.
A training programme focused on strategies to engage young people, minorities, and vulnerable groups in civic life and creative processes. The activity includes plenary sessions, workshops, and the creation of working groups.
Partners will share local experiences and define common criteria for inclusive public space design. Working groups will co-develop guidelines for participatory cultural action.
A series of virtual meetings to present the participatory processes and showcase ongoing projects in each city.
Each participating city will plan and implement a local co-creation process with residents, artists, and local stakeholders. These participatory art interventions will reflect the community’s vision of an inclusive and beautiful city.
Partners will evaluate the outcomes of their local actions and prepare the project’s final products, including recommendations and documentation of the process.
The project’s results will be shared in a final event, including public presentations, artistic showcases, and open dialogue with citizens.
